lick o’ paint

By far the best working bee I’ve ever attended at the Parwan church happened today.
Good weather, good company, good hard work, good food, good conversation, good results.

Combined worship at Pentland Hills

We had another enjoyable and encouraging day up at Pentland Hills on Sunday. The congregation hosted a combined worship with the Ballan Uniting Church congregation. We started in the hall at 12.30 with lunch, after which I gave a presentation on my trip to the island and faith community of Iona. Then Sally and I co-led worship in the church.

Yet again I heard from the people how encouraging it is to meet with other people of faith beyond our own regular community. In fact, the Pentland Hills community have taken on regular sharing of worship as one of our goals for the next year.

Prayers in the Paddock
July 24th, 2007
Saturday 1st September 11:00-4:00
Little Hampton Uniting Church

Little Hampton Uniting Church, which sits nestled in a paddock in the central Highlands between Daylesford and Trentham, is offering space to pause, to be still, to pray and to listen

You are invited to come and make pilgrimage. Sit in silence, record your prayers, gaze out to the rolling hills, light a candle, stay for 5 minutes or 2 hours.

For those who want to stay on and combine this contemplation with a yarn, there will be a bonfire out the back.

Local spuds cooked in the fire will be available, as well as tea and coffee, soup and sandwiches.
